Welcome to the Oriental and Pacific Boxing
Federation website
The Oriental and Pacific Boxing Federation (OPBF) was founded in 1955.
In turn, it was a co-founder in 1963 of the World Boxing Council (WBC) and is
one of 11 continental federations comprising the WBC, operating under its
long-serving president Jose Sulaiman Chagnon.
Members of the OPBF regional group are Australia, Fiji, Guam, Hawaii, Hong Kong,
Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Mongolia, New Zealand, Philippines, PAMA (Professional
Association of Martial Arts, representing boxers from several Asian republics of
the former USSR), Republic of China, Samoa, Thailand and Tonga.
